Education
I received my Masters of Social Work in 1993 from the Jane Addams College of Social Work, University of Illinois at Chicago, where I specialized in mental health.
I’ve completed training in Dialectical Behavior Therapy with Behavioral Tech, University of Washington and received a certificate for Mindfulness Based Cognitive Therapy in 2011 with Zindel Segal and Susan Johnson. I am currently in my final year of training to become a certified Somatic Experiencing therapist.
Background and Experience
Prior to opening my private practice in 1993, I provided individual, couples, family and group therapy for twelve years at The Center for Contextual Change (at offices in Chicago, Oak Park, and Skokie).
My background includes experience counseling children, adolescents and families impacted by trauma. I also do volunteer work providing group and individual counseling to at-risk middle school students.
Last but not least: I am a cat lover, book lover, and mother of two!
